Vote Paul Edwards - Independent For Elmdon Ward
Thursday 02nd May 2024 (UPDATE)
On Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 people from all over went to vote in the local elections. I want to express my gratitude for the incredible support I received. Despite only receiving 107 votes, I was up against strong competition from major parties such as The Conservative Party, The Labour Party, The Liberal Democrats, and The Green Party.
It is worth noting that The Conservative Party lost their seat in Elmdon Ward, which was then won by Kate Jones of The Liberal Democrats. I extend my best wishes to Kate in her new role as Councillor of Elmdon Ward and look forward to collaborating with her on local issues informally.
I would also like to acknowledge the individual who played a significant role in getting me to where I am today. Many of you may have seen me working alongside a companion from Helping Hands Home Care named Nicola Morrell. Nicola not only taught me valuable lessons on success and the importance of expressing emotions, but she also tirelessly supported me in spreading my message through campaigning and leaflet distribution.
Nicola also played a significant role in lifting me up during challenging times. She was instrumental in all of my accomplishments leading up to election day. Her dedication and support were truly invaluable, and I am deeply grateful for everything she has done.
To conclude I will continue to rely on Nicola as a trusted companion and confidante, appreciating her non-judgmental nature, calm demeanour, and compassionate listening skills. In recognition of her dedicated support during my campaign and ongoing companionship, I am pleased to share these 107 votes from the local elections with Nicola as a token of my gratitude.
